Planning quotes from the Bible
Proverbs 3:5-6
I only wrote one verse in the poster but the next verse is also inspiring – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.”
I used these verses as inspiration for my 2018 Pink Life Planner. It reminds me to seek help when planning, especially when you’re not sure where to go. It also reminds me to pray and trust God who cares for us.
Proverbs 16:3
After making a plan, I ask God to bless it and help me see where I need to adjust. This verse also reminds me to be flexible as plans can change. It’s okay to change your mind as you keep learning new things everyday.
I also ask Albert to help me with my posts and sometimes, it’s not easy to hear that your plan isn’t the best yet. But that’s okay. What’s important is that you keep an open mind, and maybe what’s going to be is far better than what you imagined.
Ephesians 5:15
This verse encourages me to keep a planner instead of just letting the day go by. Planning ahead helps us spend our time wisely because we are more prepared for the next day.
Listing down tasks for the day also helps us see what our priorities are. I’m a very impulsive person so this helps me keep my emotions under control and say no to some last minute activities.
Psalm 90:12
This was the verse that I put in the mini planner that I made for myself. You can check it through this link and maybe you’ll find a planner that fits you! That post also inspired me to look for planning quotes. So I asked Albert and he gave me these 7 Bible verses.
We always say that time flies so fast, and so does money and other resources! Keeping a monthly planner helps me see how many days are left so I can plan to keep my deadlines. More importantly, knowing how short life is reminds me to make each day count.
Ecclesiastes 3:1
This next verse is like a check and balance for the previous one. Sometimes we think that making each day count means being busy and productive all the time. When we do so, we tend to forget to rest or spend time with people we care about.
I love what I do and sometimes, I’d rather work on designs or write a post than sleep early. After a few days, I’d feel so tired that I would sleep the whole day!
I’m still working on balancing my daily activities, and this verse reminds me to stop and smell the roses every once in a while.
Proverbs 16:9
We all work hard to succeed, and we tend to think that everything depends on us. This verse reminds me that God helps me succeed, and I become more thankful.
We don’t always see what happens behind the curtains, the things that other people do for us. These are out of our control and can be the source of unseen troubles in life. However, they can also be a source of unexpected blessings! It’s good to plan for success but also expect better things to come our way.
Psalm 20:4
This last of the planning quotes is my wish for all of you! And remember to be thankful everyday and see all the little blessings that come along. Before the day ends, Albert and I talk about 3 things that each of us is grateful for.
It also helps when I write down a thankful list! I have a post about being thankful plus some journal printables that you can use. Make sure that you check the link later!

More Bible verses about planning
Here are 5 more Bible verses to help us in planning. That’s a total of 12 Bible verses you may write on your monthly calendar to inspire you everyday.
These Bible verses are about asking God for wisdom and instruction. He knows everything and He knows what’s best for us. More than any self-help book or Bible commentary, God is the best person to ask about our daily affairs.
“Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord.” Proverbs 16:20 NIV
“He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.” Psalm 25:9 NIV
“Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths.” Psalm 25:4 NIV
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Proverbs 1:7 NIV
And lastly, the next verse reminds me to trust in God to bring the results at the right time.
“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” Psalm 27:14 NIV
